Julie Arnup Practice Manager

Julie’s veterinary career spans the last 30 years, starting at 17 when she became a student veterinary nurse in London.

Her love for animals was inspired by her Mum, who would take her to the Crufts Dog Show, when it was held at London’s Earls Court. Julie would often visit a very famous, overweight cat that would be found lazing in the toilets at Paddington train station. She had many pets growing up, her most memorable being Amber her English Setter and a Turkish Van cat called Georgie, along with many others! She also adopted four finches and two quails, which grew into a flock of over 50 birds.

She qualified as a veterinary nurse in 1999 and pursued an interest in veterinary dermatology whilst working for the charity PDSA, gaining a certificate in the field.

She went on to become a senior nurse at several veterinary practices around London & Kent, and jointly owned a veterinary clinic from 2006-2012. During the pandemic, Julie handled veterinary insurance claims, processing and auditing them to ensure prompt payments were made for a large sector of clients across the UK.

Julie’s devotion to the veterinary world has led her career progression as Lady Dane’s practice manager, supporting our clients, our beloved pets & the veterinary team to facilitate the highest levels of care and treatment available.

Julie enjoys time with her family, her dog, guinea pigs, watching movies and travel.
