Louisa Chibnall RVN Veterinary Nurse

Louisa is our qualified nurse at our Whitstable practice.

After a long and accomplished career in the human care sector, gaining multiple qualifications for her work with senior patients, her passion found its path towards the animal care sector. She became known as a ‘crazy cat lady’, having rescued six cats, and hand rearing many kittens, with the addition of rescued sick birds who she nursed back to health for release.

She also had two rescue rats named Rona and Merlin, so with all this passion, she retrained in her career to become a Registered Veterinary Nurse, qualifying in 2015.

Her interests lie in seizure patients and neurological disorders, which stems from her previous experience with elderly patients in human nursing.

To this day, she still nurses birds and wildlife and also enjoys inpatient care, building relations with our wonderful clients, theatre and laboratory work. She has a love for seagulls, pigeons, chickens!

In her spare time, she teaches dance and has raised thousands of pounds each year for various charities. She has provided activities for Thanet District Council Coastal Wellbeing Project, School Holiday Camps for children and has worked alongside Mencap and The Women’s Institute. She has just been nominated by TDC for an East Kent Mind award for helping with mental health through her dance activities.

Outside of this, she enjoys spending time with her family and currently has two rescue cats called Cassandra and Mango.
