Lady Dane Veterinary Centre is a direct continuation of the Clifford George Partnership which has been treating animals in the Faversham area, its surrounding villages and the entire South East for over 50 years. We have a dedicated team of seven veterinary surgeons and six nurses who provide excellent first opinion and certain specialist veterinary care to all your animals. Clifford has worked with the practice for over 30 years and is a genuine mixed practitioner and can be seen out on farms, on equine visits and in the small animal clinic. He has a particular interest in farm practice and keeps his own flock of 100 ewes. Chris Freed BVetMed MRCVSPartner, Equine Services Chris has been with the practice since 1996 and dedicates his time to equine services with an interest in all aspects of equine medicine and surgery. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and two boys, attending race meets and events and has a passion for wildlife photography. Jasper Gale BVSc MRCVSClinical Director, Small Animal Services Jasper rejoined the practice in 2008 and dedicates his time to running the small animal services. He has a particular interest in cardiology and feline medicine. Away from work he spends time with his wife, two black labradors and horses. During the summer weekends he can be spotted on the polocross field. Emmanuel Engeli Dr.Med.Vet., DVM, Diplomate ACVS, Diplomate ECVS, MRCVSEuropean, American & RCVS Specialist in Equine Surgery Consultant for Equine Orthopaedics Emmanuel has returned to private practice in the Southeast of England and is our equine orthopaedic and performance consultant as of January 2011. He is based at the Lady Dane Veterinary Centre where he works up any horses suffering from lameness or poor performance. He is supported by a professional rider who is available to assess your horse under saddle. [LEARN MORE] Sharminda Lockwood BvetMed MRCVSSmall and Farm Animal Services Sharminda joined the practice in 2009. She divides her time between the small animal and farm animal services, and has a particular interest in flock health and production. Away from work she helps her husband run an expanding sheep, beef and turkey enterprise, and when she has a moment enjoys playing netball and training her young collie, Jack. Maggie Scutt BVSc MRCVSSmall Animal Services Maggie works part time on Mondays & Fridays and has been with the practice for 15 years. She has a particular interest in homeopathic veterinary medicine. Grant Stewart BVSc MRCVSSmall Animal Services Grant joined the practice in July 2010. He enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, especially small animal medicine. Our Nursing Team Joanne Houston RVNHead Nurse Jo joined the practice in 2007. She dedicates her time to managing the nursing team and teaching our nurse trainees. She has a particular interest in medicine. Jo has a young son, two cats and a collie. Nina Thomas RVNQualified Nurse Nina joined the practice in 2008 and since then has launched Purrfect Paws, our very own grooming service. She also co-ordinates our puppy socialisation classes. Nina has a beautiful cocker spaniel, Bailey, and two cats and a horse! Tania Heathfield RVNQualified Nurse Tania has been with the practice since 2005, undertaking her nurse training here and qualifying in 2009. Along with Nina she runs the grooming service. Gemma MagsonTrainee Nurse Gemma is in her first year of nurse training and is a very conscientious student. She has a collie, Lexi, and a young horse that she is training herself. Karin CornockPractice Manager Karin has been managing the practice for over 20 years and played a vital role in the move to the new premises. She has a dog called Libby. Cindy BrandonEquine Secretary Cindy is responsible for co-ordinating our equine and farm animal calls. Lesley HonourReception Lesley has been with the practice since 2007, has recently completed NVQ Level 2 customer services and Level 3 advanced customer services, and is studying for a veterinary nursing assistant course. She enjoys reading. Gill SeniorReception Gill joined the practice in 2005 and has completed a course in NVQ3 Management and Customer Services. Gill is currently training for the London Marathon. Sam DaltonReception Sam joined us in 2005. She is also studying for a degree in maths and enjoys card making. |
