We have a dedicated team of nine veterinary surgeons and six nurses who provide excellent first opinion and certain specialist veterinary care to all your animals.

  • Clifford George BVetMed MRCVS

    Clifford George BVetMed MRCVS

    Senior Partner, Farm, Equine and Small Animal Services.

    Clifford has worked for the practice for over 30 years and is a genuine mixed practitioner and can be seen out on farms, equine visits and in the small animal clinic. He has a particular interest in farm practice and keeps his own flock of about 100 ewes.

    Managing Partner, Equine Services

    Chris has been with the practice since 1996 and dedicates his time to equine services with an interest in all aspects of equine medicine and surgery. In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife, two boys, attending race meets and events, and has a passion for wildlife photography.

    Clinical Director, Small Animal Services

    Grant joined the practice in July 2010 and enjoys all aspects of small animal practice, with small animal medicine being a particular interest. Away from work Grant enjoys running and cycling and spending time with his young family. Grant has three cats Mo, Nyala and Tsavo.

    Sophia graduated from the Royal Veterinary College this year. She is looking forward to her first year in practice and has a particular interest in small animal medicine.

  • Sharminda Lockwood BVetMed MRCVS

    Sharminda Lockwood BVetMed MRCVS

    Small and Farm Animal Services

    Sharminda joined the practice in 2009 and divides her time between small animal and farm animal services, with a particular interest in flock health and production and small holdings. Since becoming a mum, she works part time, consulting at the Faversham practice on Tuesdays mornings,  Thursdays and Fridays. She is available for farm and small holder calls on Thursday mornings.

    Sharminda also assists her husband run an expanding sheep, beef and turkey farm. She has three Border Collies and a Jack Russell called Maggie.

    Small Animal, Farm and Equine Services

    Nick joined the practice in 2012 and mainly works with small animals. He also has a keen interest in large animal obstectrics and equine medicine. When he isn't on call he plays Rugby for Faversham RUFC and enjoys touring the county on his motor bike.

    Aurelie graduated in Belgium in 2014 and joins us after a years working as an intern in Belgium.

    Small animal services, Whistable

    Violeta qualified in 2008. She is based at the Whitstable practice and consults on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays.

    Head Nurse

    Jo started her career as a veterinary nurse in 1995. She enjoys all aspects of small animal work and is enjoying the challenge of large animal work that the practice brings. Jo has recently taken on a beautiful spainel called Rexina from the Dogs Trust.

    Tania joined the practice in 2004 as a trainee nurse. In 2008 she became a qualified veterinary nurse.

    Student Veterinary Nurse

    Selina joined the Roger Baker Veterinary Practice in 1985. She is currently studying to become a qualified veterinary nurse. She works at both our Faversham and Whistable practices. Selina likes to spend time with her Birman cat Bailey, when she isn't studying to formalise her nursing qualifications.

    Practice Manager

    Karin celebrated 25 years with practice in 2013 and manages day-to-day administration and operations. As a horse rider she has a keen interest in the equine side of the practice. Karin is a qualified member of the Chartered Management Institute.

    Equine and Farm animal Secretary

    Cindy joined the practice in 2003 as Head Receptionist. She took on the position of Equine Secretary in 2007, working closely with the partners in their day-to-day activities.  Cindy has a Cavalier King Charles  Spaniel from the Dogs Trust called Daisy.

    Charing Reception Manager

    Gill joined the practice in 2005, having since completed NVQ3 Management Customer Serices. From November 2013 she will be based at our new branch practice in Charing.

    Accounts Clerk / Receptionist

    Lesley joined the practice in 2007 and has since gained NVQ Level 2 Customer Service and Level 3 Advanced Customer Serivce. In 2012 she attained her Veterinary Practice Receptionist Qualification(CVPR).

    Naomi joined the practice in 2010 and has an NVQII in Business Administration and Finance.

    Carole covers reception at Whistable every thursday and friday. She has a beautiful labradoodle called Layla.
