Equine Visit Arrangements

Speak to a cross section of equine clients from any veterinary practice and the one fee that causes most of them to swallow hard is the dreaded Visit Fee! "Why should I pay a veterinary surgeon for sitting in his car for half of the day?!"

Speak to a cross section of veterinary practitioners and the one fee that causes the most angst is, you guessed it, the Visit Fee!. "We find it really difficult to charge our clients appropriately and at the same time pay the salary of a highly trained veterinary surgeon who spends a lot of his day travelling."

There has to be a better way .....

Eight years ago we moved to the purpose-built Lady Dane Veterinary Centre. Our premises enable people with lorries and trailers to bring their animals in, not just for the more complicated investigations or treatments, but also for the little routine jobs such as vaccinations, teeth rasping and identification documents. This means that our clients save the complete visit fee and, in turn, makes us much more efficient. Most of our clients however still want house or yard visits.

Soaring fuel prices, global warming, high veterinary salaries, ineffecient working practices - we have to get better, we want to get better!

Following on from 'Vaccinations for Life' .....

We believe we may have found ANOTHER solution to provide even greater efficiency and value for money. We have defined five provisional zones in the area where the vast majority of our clients are located - one zone for every normal working day of the week. Intuitively we have labelled these zones Monday Zone, Tuesday Zone, etc!

Pay only £10.00 plus VAT *

1. Schedule your visit in your zone on your zone's day by calling 01795 532180
2. Give us a minimum of 24 hours notice
3. Specify an approximate call time (am or pm)
4. Pay a low cost guaranteed fee for a routine veterinary visit *

Visits at other times ...

We are of course always available - in Any Zone at Any Time on Any Day or Night of the Week! But our usual visit fees will apply :

Monday to Friday - 0800H to 1800H - Normal rates (based on mileage - please 'phone for an estimate)

Monday to Sunday - 2300H to 0600H - Emergency Rate 2 (the most expensive!)

Any other day or time - Emergency Rate 1

* Examination, vaccination and other fees are not included and will be charged at our normal rates.
